MESSAGE FROM WAYNE

Hello my loves,

Everything I say is a pointer, a pointer to that which is here, now, in this moment. It's The Great Mystery. It's a great and perpetual mystery because it will never be solved. It is the mystery of life and living, the mystery that is this manifest universe. And no matter how complex our explanations, no matter how elegant our descriptions of 'what is,' they remain hopelessly limited pointers. And the mystery remains.

You have been touched by the mystery. The mystery has its hooks in you. And whether or not you feel good about that depends on the day. But there is something glorious, something wonderful about connecting to the mystery. Once tasted, it will never be forgotten. And so we gather together in this Teaching, not because the truth can be known, but because the truth is inescapable.

The beautiful thing about a mystery is that it engages our attention. Humans are interested in that which they cannot explain. We are curious beings; we want to know, to understand. We're drawn forward by this quality of the unexplained. What the teaching does is point to that which is beyond the apparent mystery, to that which is the source and the substance of everything. Sometimes in a moment of grace there is - what was called by the teacher Wei Wu Wei - apperception. Apperception is knowing without a knower, experiencing without an experiencer, understanding without an understander. The path to that moment of grace is often circuitous, and it may go through some painful or strange places. Ultimately it is all understood to be part of an incredible tapestry of existence, part of the Totality that represents itself as this great mystery.
